On January 9, 2007, the Library Board and the Bryan City Council approved the library's revised policies. The signed documents are in the Community Librarian's office for the public to view. Below are several of the most commonly requested policies.

Interlibrary Loan

• Interlibrary Loan Policy
  • Books and journal articles only!
  • Up to four active requests at one time.
  • Account must be pristine (no fines, overdue/lost materials, etc.)

Child Safety

Library Rules

• No animals except for service animals.
• No smoking.
• No food or drinks, except in the lobby of the Larry J. Ringer Library.
• Cell phones not allowed, except in the lobby of the Larry J. Ringer Library.

Donations

• Donations in good condition are accepted at all library locations. For more information, contact a branch manager or the Community Librarian.

Bulletin Boards

• Material placed on the bulletin boards should be nonprofit. Please contact a branch manager or the Community Librarian if you would like to place something on one of our bulletin boards.

Display Cases

• The Carnegie Center of Brazos Valley History has one display case featuring a Harvey Mitchell display. The Clara B. Mounce Public Library and the Larry J. Ringer Library have display cases with rotating displays, sometimes featuring displays put up by the library and sometimes featuring displays from community groups. If you are interested in putting up a display or would like more information about materials that are currently on display, please contact the branch manager or Community Librarian.
