We are having Solar Eclipse Watch Parties at both libraries and we’ll be distributing solar-viewing glasses thanks to the Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries (SEAL) program. Funding from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and the Space Science Institute has made this possible. Learn about and have fun with this year’s solar eclipse. We’ll have educational and fun activities for any age, plus snacks, and a short video. Solar eclipse certified safe sunglasses for attendees to use will be provided. Each person must be present to receive a pair while supplies last.

The Brazos Valley Astronomy Club will have solar-filtered telescopes, and solar eclipse certified safe sunglasses for attendees to use will be provided. Each person must be present to receive a pair while supplies last. There will also be crafts, a photo-op moon banner, and free giveaways.
