Submissions for the Adventure Begins at Your Library Art Contest will begin soon! The children’s art contest is always one of our most popular activities in the summer and we decided to build upon that enthusiasm by having programs that will inspire art.
Artwork will be accepted from July 1-15. Artwork must be created no earlier than June 1, 2024 and accompanied by a digital or print Copyright Release form

New Grand Prize Winner will be selected from the age group winners. The Grand Prize winner will receive their age group prize and have their artwork transcribed on our 2025 Brazos Valley Children’s Literary Festival: Open a Book, Open a World t-shirt! The winner will also get a t-shirt. Save the date Saturday, April 5, 2025! Grand prize will be determined by library staff voting among the age contestant winners.

Let’s Create Our Adventures!
Do you feel the need to color, craft, or paint? We’ll have various art supplies ready for you at the library, so all you have to do is bring your imagination and creativity! This come-and-go program will be held at both locations. All ages are welcomed to create and kids/teens ages 5-17 may submit their artwork to our contest.

Creating Art Adventure
