Due to popular demand, there will be four Chemistry Roadshow performances! We are very excited that Texas A&M University Chemistry and Science Department along with Dr. James Pennington is able to be a part of our Summer Reading Program. The Chemistry Road Show is a public service program with two complementary and interlocking goals: to entertain and educate students using chemistry.
Audience members will be amazed by getting to see firsthand experiments! They will have the opportunity to view chemical reactions that change colors from clear, to brown, to purple in a repeating cycle. They will get to see how liquid nitrogen can freeze roses and how a fire tornado can be created!
The four identical shows are free to the public and designed for ages five and up. There are explosions, loud noises and visual effects that may not be suitable for children under 5 years of age. All shows are the same, with tickets being given out the day of at the respective branches. Please note that seating is limited and that the Chemistry Roadshow is very popular. Come early to get your tickets and your seats. We look forward to your attendance in all our Summer Reading Program Events- Adventure Begins at Your Library – La Aventura Comienza en Tu Biblioteca!
